housewarming card

a friend of mine had a housewarming today and this is the card i designed for her and her dh. i used the same paper as in the father's day card below (basic grey- max and whiskers [dakota]) and again the hide function on the house, because it had windows that i did not want. just stuck the cut out words and house on the outside of the envelope. she really liked it!

i am nuts about the new "create a critter" cricut cartridge. i've probably already used it on 15 projects in the last month. this is my dad's father's day card for this year. making this was so much fun. i used the new hide feature on my gypsy for the giraffe faces because i wanted them to be blank.

this week's challenge is to use green, yellow and brown. i made this card and corresponding envelope with a favorite teacher in mind. she has been so helpful and i just wanted to say "thanks." like me, she's a spanish teacher, so i did it in our other language. : )

this critter layout was a blast. my hubby used my cricut a couple of months ago for the first time and i've been trying to think of a cute title since then. since his nickname is "bear," the title is "bear meets cricut." he would have a coronary to know this was out in cyberspace but i think it is adorable.

this was a shape challenge and i chose a cloud because i have some friends who might feel like they're under one right now. this is just a simple card to encourage them and to let them know that God is able.

i was so excited about the dad challenge because i had some pictures from a fun day with my daddy that were just crying out to be scrapbooked. i'm pretty new to the cardmaking game (started about four weeks ago) but scrapbooking is my real passion. i use my gypsy for everything, and i got the idea of skewing the letters from emma aguilar (creativetimeforme.com).

i have two fifth grade helpers who have given up their recess time once a week this year to help me out in my classroom. i made two of this card for the two of them. i have fallen hard for that "create a critter" cricut cartridge.

there are some teachers i definitely appreciate. being one myself, i know how much teachers take and how much we give. it's a labor of love. the teachers getting these bags helped me out in an extra special way this past week. thank you to emma aguilar (creativetimeforme.com) for the inspiration.

i skipped challenge #3 but this one really appealed to me. we had to use our least favorite cricut cartridge. mine is "indie art." i've never found a use for it. thinking about some fabulous friends of mine and my dh, i came up with this card.

i used scraps to make this card for a friend who's having a bridal shower this week. i wish her and her future dh every happiness.
