graduation layout (throwback thursday challenge)

my nephew graduated kindergarten a couple of weeks ago and i did this layout for him. i'll be sticking it in a scrapbook frame and giving it to my sister to hang in his bedroom. had to block out his identifying info just to be on the safe side. this page was a lot of fun. i really like how the gypsy allows me to weld letters together. the word "graduation" was already an image on the calligraphy collection cricut cartridge, but i had to weld the letters for "kindergarten." i cut up two pieces of graduation paper to make the background and used the remaining pieces to make a similar page to give to the proud grandma. finally learning to actually USE my scraps in scrapbooking. :)

family wall- cricut vinyl

i have a bunch of family pics that i want to put up on a wall in the aptly titled "family room." my plan is to fill up this wall with my and my husband's family members this summer. we'll see how it goes!

scrap room wall art- revisited

the quote i put up on the wall a few days ago had just been speaking to me in my dreams, saying, "please, finish me!! i'm not done yet!" i woke up yesterday and had a vision. what a difference a little frame and flowers make!

brown, red and blue challenge

emma at creativetimeforme.com came up with a neat challenge that i just couldn't resist. i've wanted to do a new page on my favorite lab for a little while now and this gave me the perfect opportunity. i believe the font is lyrical letters. we love you, koki!!

wall art

i came up with this quote a few weeks ago and finally took the time this weekend to cut it out and stick it up on a wall in my craft space. cricut makes everything so easy!! i've looked online at quote companies who specialize in wall vinyl and this would have been so much more expensive had i ordered it.

housewarming card

a friend of mine had a housewarming today and this is the card i designed for her and her dh. i used the same paper as in the father's day card below (basic grey- max and whiskers [dakota]) and again the hide function on the house, because it had windows that i did not want. just stuck the cut out words and house on the outside of the envelope. she really liked it!

father's day card- another mps challenge

i am nuts about the new "create a critter" cricut cartridge. i've probably already used it on 15 projects in the last month. this is my dad's father's day card for this year. making this was so much fun. i used the new hide feature on my gypsy for the giraffe faces because i wanted them to be blank.

another mps challenge

this week's challenge is to use green, yellow and brown. i made this card and corresponding envelope with a favorite teacher in mind. she has been so helpful and i just wanted to say "thanks." like me, she's a spanish teacher, so i did it in our other language. : )

mps nsd challenge #12

this critter layout was a blast. my hubby used my cricut a couple of months ago for the first time and i've been trying to think of a cute title since then. since his nickname is "bear," the title is "bear meets cricut." he would have a coronary to know this was out in cyberspace but i think it is adorable.

mps nsd challenge #9

this was a shape challenge and i chose a cloud because i have some friends who might feel like they're under one right now. this is just a simple card to encourage them and to let them know that God is able.
